Escape Suva’s tropical bustle and immerse yourself in Fiji’s rainforest on the Fijian Nature and Waterfall Tour. Located in the Colo-i-Suva Forest Reserve just 20 minutes north of the capital, this private adventure blends a guided nature walk with refreshing waterfall swims and local cultural insight.
Your guide picks you up from your hotel or Suva cruise port and escorts you to the forest gate. As you enter the Colo-i-Suva Forest Park, part of the Queen’s Commonwealth Canopy and spanning dense native bush and pristine Waisila Creek, you’ll learn about indigenous plants, endemic bird species like kingfishers and golden doves, and the role of this protected forest in Fiji’s ecosystem.
The trail leads you through lush jungle towards a series of crystal-clear waterfall pools carved into volcanic rock. The first—often called Waisila Falls—is a popular swimming spot under a scenic cascade (approx. 15 m high). Brave guests can swim or dive; others relax poolside. Optional trails extend to upper pools for quieter dips and peaceful nature spots.
Following the swim, enjoy a light picnic lunch under forest canopy—fresh fruit, sandwiches, bottled water and hot drinks prepared locally. It’s a restful moment to take in the sounds of the waterfall and birdcalls before heading back along the shaded trail.
This tour takes approximately 2–3 hours total, including pickup, park entry, guided hike, waterfall time and drop-off. Groups are kept small (max of 6–8) for genuine interaction and comfort.
